Processing Checks for Contractors

How to process checks for contractors?

Contractors are treated differently in QuickCheck because a contractor may bring 50 different checks at a time from different companies or individuals and because most of their work is considered a one-time service, adding each maker as a company is not the optimal solution.  Therefore EmagineNET recommends adding the contractors under a special account that will list all the checks of all contractors in one place.  You may still search for transactions by customer or transaction as these are still linked to the customer’s profile. 

  1. To get started, enter the code 200 instead of running the check and click on Search for Company with this Number. 
    1. *If you need to verify the information, we suggest running the check first without doing registration and verify maker, once verifying bank, account, and phone number in addition to network activity if any, you may cancel the process and add the contractor under the account “200”.
  2. Add the account as “Contractors” under Company Name. 
    1. *Do not verify the company from this screen as it is manually inputted. 
  3. Once added, go to Find from Existing Customers if the customer is in your system or add new customers if this is their first time.
    1. *The process to add a new customer is as always.
  4. After reviewing detail in Summary Screen click on Cash Check for this Customer. 
  5. Review the EmagineNET Network OFAC/SDN Verification to ensure there are no matches
  6. Enter the amount and any other notes or special commission rate you may want to edit. 
  7. Complete transaction by clicking on “Complete Transaction”
    1. Note: You may cash more checks or charge other purchases, rescan check images, edit amount or check number, in addition to commission rates prior to completing a transaction.
