How to setup fees?
On top of the commission rates you have set up, you can also set specific base fees for all companies and customers including new and existing, these fees are at times useful to charge your customers a little extra when they are new or even existing because of the added time you are investing when verifying the check, these fees are recommended to be between $1 – $2. You can also determine the fee to charge back to companies or customers during a bounced check when drafting a letter to collect funds, this amount is usually $35.00 which is the fee the bank charges you when the item is bounced. When you set up these values, the calculations are automatically done for you when cashing a check.
To enter a base fee which will apply to all companies and customers regardless of their status
- Go to Administration on the left menu
- Click on Update Application Information
- Select the tab “Software Settings”
- Under the “Fee Settings” section, enter the desired value under “Base Fee” (i.e. 1, 2, etc.)
* Note: The Base Fee is in Dollars
- To apply changes click on “Update” on the bottom right of the page after the desired value is entered.
To enter a new company fee which applies only to new companies
- Go to Administration on the left menu
- Click on Update Application Information
- Select the tab “Software Settings”
- Under the “Fee Settings” section, enter the desired value under “New Company Fee” (i.e. 1, 2, etc.)
* Note: The Base Fee is in Dollars
- To apply changes click on “Update” on the bottom right of the page after the desired value is entered.
To enter a new customer fee which applies only to new customers
- Go to Administration on the left menu
- Click on Update Application Information
- Select the tab “Software Settings”
- Under the “Fee Settings” section, enter the desired value under “New Customer Fee” (i.e. 1, 2, etc.)
* Note: The Base Fee is in Dollars
- To apply changes click on “Update” on the bottom right of the page after the desired value is entered.
To enter bounced check fee which applies to the fee you are charging back when collecting funds for a bounced check
*Note: This fee will be reflected in the printed letter you generate in QuickCheck to collect funds for bounce check
- Go to Administration on the left menu
- Click on Update Application Information
- Select the tab “Software Settings”
- Under the “Fee Settings” section, enter the desired value under “Bounce Check Fee” (i.e. 35.00)
* Note: The Fee is in Dollars
- To apply changes click on “Update” on the bottom right of the page after the desired value is entered.
