How to open a shift?

Opening a shift can help you manage your employee’s activities and understand the end of the day closing.  

*Note: Make sure to add employees, groups and access levels prior to trying to open a shift. (i.e. These can be created in the Security Center under Administration).

  • To open a shift go to Cash Management > Open Shift
  • Select Employee opening shift
  • Enter Password assigned to employee during user creation
  • Enter the opening amount (this is usually the amount given from the Vault to the Station during the Manage Vault Process). 
  • Enter any notes if it applies.
  • Click on open shift on the bottom right. 

Once the shift is open you may start cashing checks.

How to close a shift?

Closing a shift can help you see the end of the day activity of your employee and understand the checks cashed and POS sales made during their shift.

  • To close a shift go to Cash Management > Close Shift
  • Review the shift closing information 
  • Enter the cash in drawer (i.e. You may use the currency counter to simplify the process).
  • Review your short/over amount and enter any notes if needed. 
  • Click on close shift to save changes.

Once the shift is closed you may close QuickCheck or the next employee can open a shift.
